Wine industry veteran Dan Traucki has tasted our latest offerings and his thoughts strongly reflect our own, Russell’s 2018 releases are great wines.

2018 McLaren Vale Grenache Rosé

This is the new Rose season and here is another very attractive one. Lovely bright pink colour, attractive aromas of strawberries & rose petals. The palate is very appealing with great smooth flavours and a crisp refreshing finish. A GREAT SUMMER WINE.

2018 McLaren Vale Pinot Grigio

Delightful aromas of apple blossoms and Nashi pears, vibrant,crisp palate full of flavour with a smidge of minerality. A tight, clean and crisp refreshing finish. great as an aperitif or with a picnic or an antipasto. DELICIOUS & MOREISH!!

2016 Adelaide Hills Nebbiolo

Light vibrant red in colour, complex bouquet with some savoury notes, herbs & spices melding with rose petal floral aromas. A fabulous multi layered palate, quite complex, very tasty with elegant tannins on the finish. A CLASS ACT!!

2017 McLaren Vale GSM

What a great blend! Light & bright in colour- almost purple, attractive aromas of strawberries, spices & a hint of pepper. Lovely zippy, juicy red berry flavours on the palate, with a still tight grippy finish. Enjoy with food or wait a while to enjoy on its own. Great now but will become DIVINE!!

Our flagship GSM continues to impress with Halliday awarding it 92 points

Once again our GSM is impressing wine professionals with Halliday Wine Companion awarding our yet to be released 2016 McLaren Vale GSM 92 points.

A 72/22/6% blend, open-fermented, matured for 16 months in 10yo French barriques. Exceptional colour, which turns out to accurately drop the starter's flag on a deliciously juicy palate trimmed by savoury tannins to simultaneously provide balance, texture and structure.

We are still working through good stocks of our 2015 GSM which is also delivering in spades on the flavour and length fronts.

Halliday rates our 2015 Shiraz 95 points!

The May/June edition of James Halliday's wine companion Magazine has rated our beautiful 2015 McLaren Vale Shiraz 95 points and recommended it as ideal for long term cellaring.  Personally we would drink six in the short term as it is a lovely drop and put six away for future consumption!
